October’s Prayer Updates

1. Pray for Claire and her work with the Catholic parish

Claire is working with the Roman Catholic parish in Mullingar to develop their youth ministry. Her goal is to create a sustainable youth ministry that invests in young people’s spiritual lives while providing professional support and resources for the parish. Pray for this opportunity to engage young people in the local Catholic community and for Claire as she’s revamping a space for the youth group.

2. Need for guidance on steering committees

Both Claudio and Marian are working to set up their Steering groups in Sligo and Longford to help give direction and rootedness to local YFC work. Pray for wisdom and direction for the logistics and for God to bring more people forward to be part of these.

3. Holy Spirit Day in St.Mel’s - October 15th

Marian and the team in Longford are facilitating an Alpha Holy Spirit retreat for St. Mel’s College with over 70 young people. Pray for God's blessing on this retreat, for the young people, that they would experience hope and begin to see the work of the Holy Spirit in their own lives.

Dunshaughlin Harvest Festival

We partnered with Dunshaughlin Parish to help launch a new youth group using the Alpha program. Over 100 young people engaged with the Cage at the Dunshaughlin Harvest Festival where they heard about the youth group. It was a powerful weekend of outreach, connection, and church partnership in action. Later Anna, the pastoral worker there, let us know that 5 young people had shown up for the first session of Alpha which she was delighted with!
